Listening to Circus Contraption a LOT and wishing I could go to their show in oh-so-close Seattle.

I'm taking much more care posing out the new animation. Nothing much to show for it yet. Edgar's face is so darned squishy it's hard to find the structure under it. So warm out! Why am I inside? WHY!? BTW Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is crap and anyone who tells you different is a damn dirty liar.

Keep Moving Forward!

Ok... walking away from this Edgar animation. It has some glaring problems with it but rather than noodle them out I'd rather start a new one. I've got it more or less posed out now, just some staging issues to work out and I'm happier with the model/expressions. So hopefully it'll pan out. I'll post line tests as I get them done. Also here's some fun work doodles. Someone left highlighters at my desk!

Animating means sparse posting.

Getting annoyed with the offmodeleyness of my Edgar animation. And animating the kid is boring. Will post progress maybe later this week. We'll see if we hates it or not. In the meantime have a doodle.

EDIT** Oh and here's another thing. I've had this cheap skeleton on my bookshelf for years now and always meant to corpse him properly. So this is the WIP when he's latexed. Will hopefully paint him... sometime soon.... ish... maybe.

I have returned!

Finally back from my first real vacation! Whoo! Vegas is a hell of a place let me tell you. And thanks to Sarah I got access to have a peek in the Disney studios. Which was soul crushingly cool. Anyways... these are some selected bus drawings and doodles from Vegas, Pasadena and some Vancouver bus people. Plus this week's drawing challenge was "A famous Inventor." So meet Alim and his Marvellous Mechanical Menagerie. I have no idea what propellerhead is looking at, or why it is amazing.

The Great WIP

Is that video embedded? I have no idea. Anyways.... since I have holiday time, what better opportunity to remind myself how long animation takes? Video is a work in progress obviously. Kinda fun to relive what life was like before motion tweens. Like going camping! And in addition here's some doodles. Many attributed to the new drawing topic "mer-people." Oh yeah and I'm getting closer to the kid companion for my magician character. My goodness do I ever actually finish anything? Not this week! I'm going to Las Vegas! See Y'all later!
