Life Marches on. And The Mist is a great movie.

Got the mist. Watched it. A lot. Cool movie. Very cool. Here's some paintings! One is sort of a drawing jam speedpainting I did trying to capture the look of the hidden city in The Mountains of Madness. The other is an attempt at "Innsmouth folk" but I don't think he looks fishy enough. Still like the painting though even if it missed the mark a little.

Hey everybody! Have a great day!

It may not have turned out how you like it, but that Innsmouth fellow is a marvellous painting nonetheless. Your life drawing is really showing, and I like the painting technique, it looks so ... solid. The drapery, his sinewy arms, his very painful-looking wrist, everything. Double points for reflected light and not shading with black!

Who's the foreshortened superhero?

Sweet artwork. It seems to have a dark fantasy theme, is that what you wanted? I think it's pretty awesome.

Btw, I liked the mist as well. The whole thing with the other world pouring into ours was intriguing.

fuck yeah, The MIST! As far as horror flicks go, it was definitely the best one I've seen in years. The ending (whether you like it or not) definitely sticks with you for a while after watching it.

Oh yeah...cool art, too.

Ullo, Sean. The hidden city pic has got a real bad-dream mood to it, like see you develop this into a finished piece.
The Innsmouth fella is a strong painting, with well-creepy hues, though i would've give him a humourless 'dead stare', boils, a milky blind eye, maybe a hook, and a headless chicken in a basket.
...and, yes,THE MIST is a helluva good horror movie, with the most bummer ending I've seen in a long time, not a good date movie.

Yes, the foreshortened superhero looks familiar to me as well.

Cool stuff too, particularly the little fat man in the fur with the briefcase.

Hey everybody! Sorry for not responding earlier but regular blogging was interrupted by my apparently bi-annual computer crash. Thanks for all the comments!

(BTW the "superhero" fella is M. Bison from the coninuing (?) Street Fighter theme)

Again, great work man. In answer to your question on my blog, no I'm not lurking at the B right now. You'll feel my chilling presence when I do...or hear someone curse my name from across the room. Still sitting on the sidelines right now. But drawin' up a storm. Take 'er easy and keep churnin' out the goods.

Thanks for reminding me that I'm out of milk.

Also, good job at volleyball tonight.

Keep the drawings coming in both quality and quantity.

Innsmouth folk, eh? I have an uncle who looks very similar. Maybe you mean Saskatchewan folk?
